What This Extension Does

Catalyst is a productivity tool for ServiceNow administrators and developers. It monitors your ServiceNow instances for real-time updates and provides a unified dashboard showing the current state of work across all your configured instances. You can preview incoming update sets on target instances before deploying them, catching potential conflicts before they cause problems.

Data We Collect

We collect nothing. The extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information, usage data, analytics, or telemetry of any kind.

Data Stored Locally

The extension saves the following configuration in Chrome's built-in storage (chrome.storage.sync), which is stored in your browser and optionally synced across your own Chrome profile:

• Instance configuration: Names and URLs of your ServiceNow instances (e.g. "Dev — https://dev12345.service-now.com"). These are entered by you and used only to power the extension's features.
• UI preferences: Your chosen display settings and preferences within the extension.

This data never leaves your browser except via Chrome's own sync mechanism to your other devices signed into the same Chrome profile — it is never sent to us or any third party.

Data Read From ServiceNow Pages

When you use the extension, it reads update notifications and metadata from your configured ServiceNow instances. This data:

• Is fetched directly from your ServiceNow instance using your existing authenticated browser session
• Is displayed to you within the extension's popup UI
• Is never stored beyond your browser session (not written to disk, not sent anywhere)
• Is never transmitted to us or any third party

Permissions Explained

• Read and change data on *.service-now.com: Required to monitor your ServiceNow instances for real-time updates and read update metadata from the ServiceNow APIs. The extension only reads data — it never modifies or writes anything to ServiceNow.
• Read and change data on custom domains (optional): Requested only if you add a non-service-now.com instance URL in Settings. Same purpose as above, but for on-premise ServiceNow installations.
• Storage: Saves your instance configuration and preferences locally in your browser.
• Active tab: Reads the current tab's URL to determine which configured instance you are on and show relevant updates.
• Scripting: Monitors your configured instances for incoming updates and alerts. Only active on domains you have configured.
• Web navigation: Tracks when you navigate between ServiceNow instances to keep the dashboard current.

Third Parties

This extension does not use any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, crash reporting tools, or external APIs. No data is sent to any server other than your own ServiceNow instances.

Children's Privacy

This extension is a professional developer tool intended for use by ServiceNow administrators and developers. It is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be noted in the extension's Chrome Web Store changelog.
